I have been catchin up on blogs lately, and I have to admit that it is kinda sad to read of all the "bad spirit" between all those different religious and non-religious groups.
Why can't people live the way they think it is right for themselves, and have others live their own way?
I know the situation in Austria is a different one as Austria is a catholic country. We don't just have catholics here though. As a matter of fact most people here don't care much about religion at all. Those that are not Catholic are the ones that pay most attention to it.
But still most people celebrate holidays like Christmas or Easter one way or another, for many people going to church for Easter is of no importance, and I accept that completely.
I have been raised as a catholic in a catholic country, but there were times when I was not happy with my religious background. I was looking at other denominations, and I have to admit I learned a lot that way. I learned a lot about myself about the Catholic church, and I learned to respect other people's faiths. It does not matter to me if someone believes in God, I respect them for who they are, whether they believe in God, and religion takes an important part in their everyday life, or whether they don't believe in God and see the world in a different way. As long as you respect each other's views and try to get along, there is nothing you can do wrong I think. But if you want to change someone, there is a lot you can destroy….
Couldn’t agree with you more. The horrible things people do to one another in the name of “God” is horrifying and “un-Godly” to say the least. Blog ON…
well i agree but at the same time if you are a christian then you do care rather someone is saved or not and should care. the Bible teaches us to preach the gospel. however you should not try to force it down peoples throat either. i am a christian and i let people know i am. if they want to know more then can come ask me. i invite them to church. i do care if they are saved or not. same thing with other beliefs out there. i am a penticostal apostolic believer. we believe there is more then just asking God into your heart to be saved. however i dont blame anyone either. i dont put anyone down and all i do is when someone asks i show them why i believe what i believe.
also though religion you need to be carefull how you use cause evolution is a religion as well. by definition. a religion is just a belief. well depending on your dictionary. but it is not a theory. to be a theory you need a hypothesis that is proven to be true and evolution does not have that. creationist those that believe God created everything is more a theory then evolution is. but still they both are a religion. the reason i said depends on your dictionary cause a couple pretty much says it has to do with church and God. however most it is just a belief on the cause of nature. so anyways thought i would also add that.
